Steengoed Aardewerk

After mainly working in 2d for several years now, I felt the need to get my hands on some three dimensional stuff again. When I was studying art I was trained to be a jewelry designer. Even then I experienced working with ceramics for some time. It always had my interest somewhere in the back of my mind, but that’s where it stayed.

Until a few years back a friend told me she was taking a pottery course near me. I took the plunge and took some lessons. Within a second I was hooked and I started a new journey.

I love the earthiness of the clay. It can be raw and delicate at the same time. Always on the lookout for perfect imperfections.

Ceramics has, over the years, become a bic part of who I am. Though it sprouted from kunstZussies it is time to acknowledge it is an entity of its own. I have my own workshop, kiln and wheel. I am a kunstZussie and a potter.
